The HTC Merge (or Lexikon) was first leaked back in September and even captured on video, but we have yet to get an official release date from Verizon. It appears that could change soon as Verizon is hosting a party on November 18th and the invitation says they will celebrate the launches of the “HTC Droid Merge World-Phone” and the re-launching of the HTC Droid Incredible.
As some of you already know, the HTC Merge is Verizon’s version of the Desire Z, minus the unique z-hinge which has been replaced with your basic slide mechanism. T-Mobile’s version of the Desire Z, the G2, went on sale last month so it us unclear why Verizon has delayed the launch so long.
Verizon’s HTC Merge will be different from the G2 in that it runs HTC’s Sense UI instead of stock Android and it also includes Microsoft’s...Android and Me tee shirts?! The And Me Artist Series: all tees $17, a new tee each week.
