AMD to introduce tablet processors

AMD has yet to really make any headway into the tablet game to date, which isn't too surprising, really, considering the company also took a few years before plunging headlong into the netbook arena. The company will however, join the tablet fray when they decide that the tablet market is large enough for them to invest research time as well as money, and will most likely focus on processors with “great graphics and video technology.” This does not mean it will require at least three to four more years before an AMD-powered tablet hits the scene though. At the moment, ARM-based processors as well as those from the Intel Atom line look set to dominate the tablet scene until AMD decides to chip in with their offering.
