Description of MotoGP 10/11

Moto GP 10/11 will bring fans the most authentic and realistic Moto GP experience of the series. Gamers will get all of the 2010 Moto GP season content and downloadable updates for the 2011 Moto GP championship shortly after the season starts. The all new handling system and improved physics in Moto GP 10/11 will deliver a level of authenticity never seen before in the GP series. The inclusion of the brand new customizable player assists feature allows fans of both simulation and arcade racing to alter their racing style. Those wanting to take less of a risk with their riding technique will be able to switch on the player assists for a more forgiving style of racing. For players who want to feel the full intensity of Moto GP racing, all the in-game player assists can be turned off delivering challenging and realistic gameplay that emulates the Moto GP experience. ‘Career’ mode will be complemented with the addition of brand new co-op play. Through local split-screen gameplay a second player can jump into the race and become a team mate, helping to take your team to pole position. The classic ‘Championship’ and ‘Time Trial’ modes are back along with a revised ‘Challenge’ mode. This year fans of the Moto GP will be able to play as their racing hero from the start in all three of these game modes. As with Moto GP 09/10, Moto GP 10/11 will continue to offer the most robust online mode in a racing title, allowing up to 20 players to compete in a Championship race. Gamers can choose their racing settings and join in mid-race with spectator mode to check out the competition before the race starts.

Customer Reviews

Let me preface this review by stating that I am a motorcyclist. I have owned several bikes including track-prepped Aprilia motorcycles that I rode at several race tracks. I have also attended MotoGP races in-person. This game was auditioned via a full HD video projector on an 84″ screen with a full 5.1 surround sound system.

I am glad that I had the opportunity to try this game before purchase. I wasted $40 buying MotoGP 09/10 last year and was greatly disappointed. This year’s version is no different. The software persons that develop this game need to go back and revisit the 08 version which was excellent. The bikes in the newer games don’t behave like real motorcycles. Side-to-side weight shifting to turn the bike left or right causes the bike to pivot in the wrong place. The weight transfer is exaggerated causing the bike to weave. High-performance bikes at speed (especially lightweight race bikes) flick side-to-side without much effort. This sense of flickability was captured very well (without a cartoony arcade feel) in the 08 version of the game. Also, the 08 game had accurate bike sounds. The latest games make the roaring MotoGP bikes sound like weed-wackers. To me, the graphics of the newest 09/10 and 10/11 games look unrealistic like over-processed HDR photographs.

I would implore Capcom to go back to the graphics and sound and physics of the 08 game and simply add the new racers and the new race classes: Moto2, etc..

Best regards to the people of Capcom Japan who were affected by the recent earthquake.
Bought this game a few days ago and what a MAJOR disappointment! Absolute , total, garbage – if I may pay a complement to its makers. Trust me, a lot of pink slips need to be handed out, top to bottom. Never, ever, will I purchase another Capcom game unless I can see what its like before hand. Have none of the folks at Capcom played their competitors MotoGP games of yrs gone by until now?

Unfortunately, I didn’t have the chance to try it out before buying.

Is this 2011 or 1999 when arcade style was the best on offer? I ditto the remarks made by most reviewers. How can a manufacturer justify selling a game that in no way simulates the mechanics of riding a motorcycle.

Two thumbs down!!!
how could you come up with such a bad game??????08/09 was ok 3 years later this bad.sorry no more moto gp games.
