The Hondas continue to dominate the proceedings on the second day of testing at Valencia. Both Dani Pedrosa and Casey Stoner are into the 1'31 bracket, while Ben Spies is the best of the rest half a second behind Pedrosa. At least is within a second of the Hondas, as the 4th place man Cal Crutchlow is nearly one-and-a-quarter seconds behind on the Monster Tech 3 Yamaha.
Hector Barbera is the fastest of the Ducatis, while Valentino Rossi is continuing to work on gathering data for the Bologna factory to use to design the next iteration of the frame. Stefan Bradl has been posting impressive times on the Honda 800, while Alvaro Bautista is finally out on the San Carlo Gresini Honda bike, now that his contract has been signed. Further back, the CRT machines are making the expected progress, cutting the gap to the leaders by over a second at a time. The gap is still large, but looking a little more manageable now.
